after the storm

I love how it looks after a storm, when the sun starts to peek through the clouds.

kingman photo tour: it snowed!

It doesn't snow very often in Kingman. It rained all day this past Saturday (also doesn't happen often) and then it snowed for a couple of hours on Sunday. It didn't last very long, and by the early evening the snow in town was gone and the sun was shining. But we took a short little drive up into the mountains (really short, like 20 minutes from where we live) and there was still plenty of snow. It's just beautiful in the Kingman mountains; we absolutely love it. (And are trying to figure out how we can swing buying a super-cheap, one room cabin for weekends and vacations up there. Maybe someday...)

etsy team arizona

I recently joined an Etsy team for Arizonans. I found a fairly new one and decided that I'd try to get involved a little. Maybe it would help out with my store...maybe it would just be fun? We'll see. Anyway, the team captain started a team blog and I offered some help. I made several different buttons for her to choose from for the team's use. The first two I took from pictures I had taken while in Fountain Hills, AZ. (Can you think of Arizona without thinking of cactus?) The last is the state flag. All three took less than an hour to make and I really enjoy spacing out in front of Photoshop. She choose the first one--so did my husband.

 Here are the original photos.

another giveaway

I have another giveaway going on at Allora Handmade.
(I'm hoping to have several more giveaways coming soon.)

It's a black snakeskin bangle to add to your stack.

These are so hard to photograph...
